Unable to access Cat 3548 through Console port.

I have a factory default setting cat 3548 of which i am not able to access through console port.

Is their a problem with console port or ???

What settings do you have on your hyperterminal?

Are you able to connect to any other Cisco device using the same PC/cable?

You did set the connection to 9600-8N1?

Are you using the original console cable that came with the device?

Keep in mind that this is not a straight cable. You can extend it with a straight one. Using a second console cable will not work.

Normally the console should always work using the supplied cable.

This may not be true after you accidentally inserted an ISDN port (?!) carrying the 100Volts signal to it. Not likely but you never know.

i have done a restore default setting on my hyperterminal. were as i am able to connect to other devices through same PC and hyperterminal.

I am facing problem with this perticular one. is their any other way i can connect to cat3548, as it does not even have Aux port.

it has only 1 console port and 48 FE ports.
