I have the following lines configured on a 3745. I'm unable to get rid of them using the command "no line 97" in (config)# mode. I receive the error message: % Vty line 97 doesn't exist

Can anyone provide a solution?

line 97

location Router A Console

flush-at-activation

transport input telnet

line 98

location Switch A Console

flush-at-activation

transport input telnet

line 99

flush-at-activation

transport input telnet

Do you have a modem card installed in the router slot no 3.

The line no (97-128) is reserved for Slot no 3.They are not VTY's, they are TTY's(Async ports)

you can not delete are create line.

It gets automatically installed when you install at modem module.

Also configuration gets cleared when you remove the modem module.

No. There's no modem attached.

I found the answer. It's not a modem, but it's the physical position of the async card. By placing it in a different slot it will change the number scheme to what my other routers are.
