Unattended Debug at router start-up ?

Is there any way to execute debug commands on a router immediately at startup/bootup, like for instance saving the debug commands in a text file on the routers flash and then instructing it to execute the file with the commands ?

Console connection is not a option.

Any ideas/suggestions ?

You could put the commands in a text file, and boot from the text file, but then they won't run until after the router has booted. What is it you are trying to debug? There may be some other method of getting at the information you want.

Russ

We have 3662-DC-CO (telco) routers with VWIC-2MFT-G703, IOS 12.2(13) c3660-telcoent-mz.122-13

On some routers the VWIC wont initialise at all:

00:00:10: %E1T1_MODULE-3-INITFAILURE: Slot 2, Unit 0 initialization failure - FPGA Revision = 0xFFFFFFFF

00:00:10: %E1T1_MODULE-3-INITFAILURE: Slot 2, Unit 0 initialization failure - FPGA & Firmware Download

00:00:10: E1T1 x/0 IOS: Failed to initialize.

00:00:10: %E1T1_MODULE-3-INITFAILURE: Slot 2, Unit 1 initialization failure - FPGA Revision = 0xFFFFFFFF

00:00:10: %E1T1_MODULE-3-INITFAILURE: Slot 2, Unit 1 initialization failure - FPGA & Firmware Download

00:00:10: E1T1 x/1 IOS: Failed to initialize.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On other routers the the following eror occurs:
Dec 19 07:56:58: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface Serial2/0:0, changed state to down
Dec 19 07:57:05: %CONTROLLER-2-FIRMWARE: Controller E1 2/0, firmware is not running
Dec 19 07:57:05: %CONTROLLER-2-FIRMWARE: Controller E1 2/1, firmware is not running
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I did a search on Cisco.com and found the following:

CSCdy01451

Symptoms A router may display the following messages:

%CONTROLLER-2-FIRMWARE: Controller E1 4/1, firmware is not running

%CONTROLLER-2-FIRMWARE: Controller E1 4/0, firmware is not running

%CONTROLLER-2-FIRMWARE: Controller E1 4/1, firmware is not running

Conditions This symptom is observed on a Cisco 3660 router that is running Cisco IOS Release 12.2(2)T. This situation may happen with a variety of network modules and not necessarily on those that have WAN interface cards (WICs).

Workaround There is no workaround. To recover from this situation, reload the router.

We currently have a TAC case logged but I was wondering if anyone else has ever come across thiese problems and maybe found some solution ?

Thanks
