I'm writing some scripts do stuff like search my switches for a MAC and to make changes to ports VLAN assignments. I need to know the MIB and OID/pnumonic (if there is one) to tell me whether a switch port is configured to be a trunking port (whether it be dot1q or ISL) or not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can various Cisco MIBs here...

Thanks. I've been to that page already, but it still doesn't tell me which MIB I need to download and what the OID of the object is.

Lyle,
This document talks about adding VLANs to a catalyst switch, removing them and adding ports to the VLANs all using SNMP.

Also the following link shows how to get VLAN info from a switch using SNMP.
