Anyone please guide, say if I want to add the ports of a switch into a VLAN, do I need to manually go to each of the interface port and add them in ? (By using CLI).
Is there any faster method to do that ?

It depends on the IOS Version. If you are running the Switch with native IOS, for example a CAt 2924, than you have to enter it manually for each switchport, when you have a CatOS than just use set vlan xx 2/1-24 for example.
I haven´t heard of a faster method with the regular IOS. If you find something, please let me know. :-/

What switch is this? If this an XL switch you cannot. If you have a CAT6xxx running native IOS(12.1(8a)EX and later), CAT4006 with Sup3, CAT3550 or a CAT2950 you can use the range command
