VLAN trunk Etherchanneling

3750 stacked switch

interface gig 1/0/1

no switchport

no ip address

channel-group 1 mode on

interface gig 2/0/1

no switchport

no ip address

channel-group 1 mode on

interface port-channel1

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchmode trunk

since this will have 2Gbps trunking link to the core switch, even if 1 link fails other like will still connect with 1Gbps, so is this possible? because i tried this option in the "port-channel1 interface" this command is accepting.

earlier the trunking was configured in the gig 1/0/1, since i wanted more bandwidth, i thought i will put etherchannel.

Hi,

Yes, this is a possible and supported configuration, since you are using mode "on." Cross stack LACP is supported as of 12.2(25)SEC.

HTH,

Bobby

Thanks
