VMS PIX MC

Hi,

Here i'm trying to use the PIX MC to manage the PIX 515E firewall, but i facing some problems here when i importing the configuration of the device. The situation is like this i key in the outside IP address of my PIX firewall and password but i still get the "status completed with error" in the Import Configuration Status window. And i try to ping the outside IP address of the PIX firewall but i cannot get any reply from the PIX firewall's outside interface. Can anybody give me some advices about this situation.

There are some commands not supported by the MC and the presence of these commands in the config might be the cause of the error message you are seeing. You could refer to the documentation for the version of the MC you are running for a list of supported commands. For example, for version 1.1, the list of supported commands is listed at http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/mgt_pix/pix1_1/dtpix1_1.htm.
