Hi,
in our company we´re using some Catalyst 2948 with CAT OS Software. We´re planning to implement a voice vlan.
I have two questions regarding this issue.
1. Is it possible to configure a auxillary vlan for voice and configure 2 Vlans on a Port?
2. How can I configure a Dot1Q trunk to priorise the voice vlan ?

Hi
1 ans: You need to define an auxiliary vlan on a port and then make it a trunk. data will go through (untagged) the native vlan of that trunk port. native vlan of that port would the one, which the port originally belonged to before setting up auxiliary vlan.
2 ans : here is the document which will help you in configuring auxiliary vlans :
Kindly update for further queries.

any voice traffic coming from IP phone will carry IP precendence of 5 and will be given priority. normal data will carry Cos 0 and will not be given any priority.
so u need to make a n auxiliary vlan
and, a trunk link so that voice vlan and native vlan for data can go together.
