In a configuration with 2*40Gb VSL links, is it recommended to cross-connect the VSL links ?

Chassis1 Slot3 ->Chassis 2 Slot 4

Chassis1 Slot4 ->Chassis 2 Slot 2

And the dual-active links are on the supervisor or an another card ?

If you have Quad Super visors

Personally i do as below

chasis 1 - Sup1 and Sup2 ------PO(consits of 4 physical links)-- - chasis 2 - Sup1 and Sup2

Fast hellos

2 different line cards

chasis 1 - Linecard 1 - chasis 2 - Linecard 1

chasis 1 - Linecard 2 - chasis 2 - Linecard 2
