VTP domain not appear in show run

Hi all,

i've new cat 2950 and i saw that, when i configure a VTP domain, it doesn't appear in show run configuration, why???

If you have VTP mode server or client, the VTP information gets saved in the vlan.dat file and not NVRAM. If you use VTP transparent, the configuration is in NVRAM

But now i have 2 other question:

1) Why ths differents in a location where vtp conf is saved?

2) If i want to save my conf on tftp server, i'm not able to save the VTP info, isn't it??

This is true. You could try "copy flash tftp", and specify vlan.dat as the source file. But I should warn you that it is not a plain text file. I have done it, but I have not yet tried copying it back again. If you try it, could you let us know what happens?
