I am looking for the best way to connect a remote site using frame relay. I am having trouble choosing the hardware. At one site I have a Cat 6509 and the other site has nothing. I need some suggestions on the hardware I need.

I see that you have a 6509 at one end, which I assume is your HO. If you plan to add more sites, you might want to go to a high end router such as 3700 or even 7200, depending upon how many more sites you are adding. If its just one site your remote site router neednt be a 2600, you can even use a 1700 router.

Ofcourse you will also need a switch at your remote office, like a 2950 or 3550.

If I use the 1751 router with the integrated 4 port switch will I still need the switch at the remote site.

Hi!

that's enough for present use. If you are upgrading your system , you should go for other switch.
