Hi folks,
I have a voice logger + Cisco IPCC installed @ a central site, with a couple remote sites involved. Typically, its a WAN scenario where PSTN calls are routed from the central site to the remote sites via a 3640 router. As such, I've read about RSPAN'g across different switches, but w/o any mentioning of via a WAN link (across the router).
I will appreciate very much if any1 has any experience doing a RSPAN between switches across a WAN link successfully..:)
Much Thanks!!

RSPAN can only work across trunk links. So, if you can figure out how to trunk the RSPAN VLAN across a WAN, than it is possible. AFAIK, if it is serial with encapsulation like PPP, HDLC, or Frame-relay, then I doubt that it is possible.

Hi,
AFAIK, RSPAN is using a special RSPAN VLAN to distribute the mirrored frames between switches.
So IMHO you'd need some kind of L2 tunnelling to get this VLAN through the router.
