WS-X6148-GE-TX and Supervisor WS-X6K-SUP1A-2GE. Software, Memory upgrade?

A client with a switch Catalyst 6009 with supervisor 1A. He needs 48 ports 10/100/1000 and He has a WS-X6148-GE-TX module.

Can I insert this module? What does He need? (memory upgrade, software upgrade, etc...)

I suspect the WS-X6148-GE-TX is not supported in the 6009 chassis. I tried the Software Advisor for a 6009 chassis, and WS-X6148-GE-TX was not listed as one of the avalable options for a slot.

The same tool for the 6509 chassis did list the module.

I could not find anywhere where this card would be supported on a old 6000 series platform . Version 7.6.1 is needed to run this card . also it looks like you would be short on dram as I believe 7.X series needs 128 meg to run correctly .

I need 128 meg DRAM, but Do I need upgrade supervisor from MSFC to MSFC2 with upgrade kit MEM-S1-128MB-UPG?
