Is there any way of chaning the flash to Read/Write.
I add addtional flash and when the router reboots, Is makes a second partition. One of which is Read Only) and I can not delete, erase or anything with it. I am using the Intel chip.
not sure if you have already tried this, but reboot the router and press Ctrl + Break within 10 seconds, this should get you into ROMMON. Change the configuration register to 0x2142 and reboot the router, this should put the flash into read/write mode.
Thanks, I will try it, but does this only cause the router to not use the flash on boot up? I was not aware that is changes the flash to read/write. Will it remain read/write after changing the register back to 0x2102 in exec mode?
I change the register to 0x2101 in the exec mode. This changes the flash to Read/Write.
