2611 trouble

I am having trouble getting past rmon on a 2611 i have tried confreg 2412 and 2102 with no luck, anybody no what is wrong and how to fix the problem?

ensure you have the right IOS in flash. Note there are 6 or more 2600 series IOS's and im pretty sure they do not operate on the wrong hardware platform.
