java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException
at SVCreatePorts.<init>(SVCreatePorts.java:248)
at DeviceManager.ConfigureStack(DeviceManager.java:712)
at SMCliInit.run(SMCliInit.java:150)
java.lang.NullPointerException
at DeviceManager.stop(DeviceManager.java:504)
at sun.applet.AppletPanel.run(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

Please go through the troubleshooting steps in this doc
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/473/59.html
and check the release notes:
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/c2900xl/29_35xu/1061501.htm
You may want to upgrade to the latest version and try again.

Are you absolutely sure you are using the same IOS version running on the same hardware?
I've noticed similar problem in the past - Cluster Manager was breaking my browser - and the fix was to install the international (Sun) version of the Java plug-in instead of the american one downloaded from CCO.

Yes, I've checked everything - even did the fix suggested by Cisco (upgrade IOS) - unfortunately, now the switch is fubar and we're 500 miles away from the switch. More to come but I like the idea of the Sun version. I think I'll give that a try
