4500 series & pitfalls...

I am in the process of building a building 4500 series building switch. I am looking at the 4507R with the Supervisor V-10E with the 4x1GE or 2x10GE.

Are there any key issues with this equipment to watch out for?

Never worked on a Sup V yet, so cant give you much on this. But as far as I can read on this sup engine, only one of the set of ports - that is either the two 10gigs or the four gigs can be active at a time.

Thanks for responding.

I have decided to go with 4507R/Sup V with the 4 gigs. The new switch is replacing a 5500 so I am in the middle of gong thru all the 'sets' (written 8 years ago) and writing an IOS config that does the same thing with some minor changes :-)
