I would like upgrade 6509. At this time there is installed supervisor WS-X6K-SUP1A-2GE with MSFC. I would like replace it to Supervisor720. My question is, how can I identify actualy used FAN TRAY ? I want to be shure, if I have to order FAN2 or not.

Thanks a lot,

To tell if you have a fan 2 or not is by looking at the fan in the 6500. If you have a fan 2 then it will say going down the front of the fan blade. If it just says fan, then you don't have a fan 2 blade. Also remember that with the fan2 you will require the 2500W power supplies. The 1300W will not work with the 720's. Here is a link to FAQ for 720's. I hope this helps.
