I have a 7206 vxr router. I have code on slot0: and on slot1: I can read, write and format each slot.. I have the commands intered in the config:
boot system flash slot0:c7200-jk2o3s-mz_121-9_E3.bin
boot system flash slot1:c7200-jk2o3s-mz_121-9_E3.bin
If I remove pcmcia card in slot0: it will not boot off of slot1:
If I tell it to boot off of slot1: it will not boot.
I have tried this on two different routers and it does the same thing.
Is there a differient type of card for slot1:?
Exactualy how do you get the router to have a primary boot and a secondary boot device in case slot0: goes bad?

I'm booting a 7206 off slot1 with the same setup. What does the router say at bootup time?
Do you have a boot image in your bootflash?
