7400 series - lot of CRC errrors

Hello,

I have a ATM moudle on 7400 connected to Alcatel DSLam. I am having lot of CRC errors.

anyone has faced this problem?

Hello,

which IOS version are you running on your 7400 ? You might want to play around with CRC-16 and CRC-32 cyclic redundancy checking, there might be a mismatch with your Alcatel.

This what I get from CCO.

The following are some potential reasons for ATM CRC errors:

Dropped cells due to traffic policing in the ATM cloud on one or more VCs attached to the ATM interface.

Noise, gain hits, or other transmission problems on the data-link equipment.

A faulty or failing ATM interface.
