891f-k9 upgrade issues

I have issues upgrading this router due to "not enough space" problems

I was unable to upgrade the running-config tftp

(copy tftp://ip address/c800-universalk9-mz.SPA.157-3.M1.bin run)

so I uploaded the config to Flash (copy tftp://ip address/c800-universalk9-mz.SPA.157-3.M1.bin flash)

I then deleted the old config and attempted to ensure the router would boot from the new config only.

even though the new config now shows correctly in Flash and in Rommon the router still will only boot into Rommon what am I missing here? do I really have to upgrade the memory?

You need to change the config register:

!
config-register 0x2102
!

...should do the trick.

cheers,

Seb.

I'm a little confused. The output from the second command indicates that you have successfuly booted and are in EXEC.

When you have the SIDCIS91FVOIP1# prompt, what is the output of sh ver?

cheers,

Seb.

I am able to boot into the IOS but only manually from ROMMON the device will not power up into ios automatically. is it something to do with this bootstrap which is still showing the old version how do I change that?
