This problem is about getting the employer's laptop (Win10 Ent.) to connect to the corporate network through my personal Cisco RV340-K9 V03 (fw. 1.0.03.18) small business router in the home. The laptop client is AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client (Ver. 4.8.02045).
Referencing the Application and Services Log in the Windows Event Viewer there are numerous certificate errors.
Example:
Function = COpenSSLCertificate:VerifyExtKeyUsage
Return Code = -31391721 (0xFE210017)
Description = CERTIFICATE_ERROR_VERIFY_ENHKEYUSAGE_NOT_FOUND
To isolate the problem I have disabled the VPN, turned off the firewall and enabled all three VPN pass-through check boxes. I use the SSL VPN for my personal needs without any certificates added, as that is above my head. None of that helped.
If I put my old RV320 between the RV340 (on WAN2) and the ISP modem, the client connects without issue.
Before: ISP Modem -> RV340 -> RV130W -> Laptop
After: ISP Modem -> RV320 -> RV340 -> RV130W -> Laptop
One other note, the RV320 router is configured as the sole node on a second network.
Any help to understand the certificate problem will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks -Reese
