Hi all!

We have router Cisco ASR 1001-x. Now we need additional 10Gbit/s interface (at least one) on this platform with SFP+ form-factor port. We have found variants with part numbers SPA-1X10GE-L-V2 and SPA-1X10GE-WL-V2, but both of then are XFP-based, not SFP+.

So we have questions:

  1. What difference between SPA-1X10GE-L-V2 and SPA-1X10GE-WL-V2?
  2. Are there SFP+ based shared port adapters exist?
  3. If there is no SFP+ based shared port adapters, is it Okay to have XFP on one end of the link and SFP+ on the other end of the link (with corresponding wavelengths for sure).
  4. Is there shared port adapters with two or more 10Gbit/s ports for this platform?

#1 the WL may have a few more features. For example, its datasheet mentions QinQ support, which isn't mentioned for L module. (Since WAN is in the product description, I would guess any additional features would be "WAN" oriented.)

#2 Not that I'm aware of.

#3 Yes.

#4 Also not that I'm aware of.
