Backward HW version Compatibility

The obsolete WS-C3750X-48T-S switch has an extension of the PID indicating the HW revision. I have a V02 spare for a V07 operational unit. Is the V02 a suitable replacement for the V07?

It doesn't matter what HW version it is as long as the unit can use the same IOS version as the existing one.
