Hi
Im running LMS on a MS platform and are experiencing a problem with Campus Manager. It discovers all my network equipment (500 devices) correctly except for one of two C4500 switch. This switch it picks up as an unknown device. Ive checked and compared all my settings snmp cdp and passwords with the working sw and find no diffs. Could I specify a specific ip do descover.

yes u can.. but make sure your dns entry is correct, If no dns entry then update local host file if there is a dns entry then match it to local host file.
There is a troubleshooting document titled
"troubleshooting the ANI discovery used by Campus Manager and User Tracking"
You may want to look at that.

Hi Kobus
Have you tried making the 4500 a seed device?
Is there any access lists or traffic shaping configurations between that device and the CiscoWorks Server.
Please try to manually snmp poll to that device, traceroute, and ping to make sure there's no interface cause by another device.
Does the device show up as a Cisco Products OID? or just an unknown?
Hope that helps
