Can't connect/logon to ASA 5505

It has been several years since I connected to ASA 5505. I now have to connect to make some changes. 5505 is probably about 10 years old.

I tried going to https://192.168.1.1  ; which is the address of the 5505

Got a security warning, that I acknowledged

And then browser just gets hung trying to connect.

Never get asked for Logon

I can successfully ping the device

Also tried https://192.168.1.1/admin

I downgraded JAVA to 6u45 (someone suggested that). Didn't work

Can you use ssh and lo into the cli? If so, do that and share the output of thew following:

show ver

show run http

show run ssl

If could be you have an older box without strong crypto enabled and your modern browser is not accepting the older weak algorithms and thus never sets up an SSL session.
