Can't upload IOS to FLash of Cisco Catalyst 2900 XL

Hi Guys...

We have a switch Cisco Catalyst 2900 Series XL Model WS-C2924-XL-EN. 8 MB DRAM 4 MB FLASH

I already tried the discussions regarding flash_init dir_flash: boot and the likes.

By the way, I already downloaded the IOS for our switch through Cisco Website. Settings are default through Hyper Terminal

Here's the thing:

Whenever I transfer the .bin file using XMODEM, it prompted an error "Transfer cancelled by remote computer"

It would be great if you can help me guys. =)

Do you have ability to transfer image via TFTP, it would be much quicker.

For Xmodem transfer check that both switch and PC using the same setting as speed, error correction,etc

so you suggest that i'll use TFTP Server to upload IOS to our switch?

Definitely, I will do that if XMODEM can't be fix.

Can you please give me a reliable Free TFTP Server?

http://www.tftp-server.com/ You can use this for MS platform. One time I have no responsibility lo load image by TFTP, I loaded image 30 minutes, by tftp it takes near 5 minutes.

When you choose speed of Xterm, for exmaole 9600, its 9600bits per second. So you can calculate time you need to load image
