Cat6509 - Power Supply S/N from show command

Previously we can perform show version on CatOS 8.3(4), and the output show us the s/n of power supply attached.

1) Right now I had upgrade the switch from CatOS to IOS image. Question what show command to use so it can disply the power supply s/n ?

2) is there any single show command to list out all the attached modules s/n , including FAN module.

Hi,

Thanks for writing in. For Native IOS, you can use the following commands.

1. s/n for power supply

show idprom power-supply 1

show idprom power-supply 2

2. s/n of all modules

show idprom all

show module

I havent been able to find a command for s/n of the fantray. I tried the following command on my switch, but it didnt work.

show idprom fan-tray
