Hi,
I have a 3500XL Catalyst switch and it has just stopped working.
The LED's on the front show up as:-
1,2,3,4 - no light
5,6 - Orange light
7-24 - Green light
System LED is flashing
RPS - no light
STAT, UTIL, DUPLEX, SPEED - Green light
All network activity has stopped, but if I keep the button on the front pressed and power the unit on I can log into the serial port.
IOS version is 12.0(5)WC13.
Does anyone know how I can fix this switch or has it taken a nose dive into the land of the dead?
Hope someone can help,
Thanks
Best Regards
Scott

Hi,
The Systems light is green and blinking, if this helps.
There are no devices plugged into any of the ports at the moment.
The model I have is the 3524XL.

Time for a new switch !!!!

Hi Scott,
You have to get the switch RMA from Cisco or get it replaced from whwrw you baught because it is failing the POST test which is power on self test.
So its a hardware failure and part need to be replaced.

Oh well,
Thanks for everyone's replys and help, The cost of the repair will be too much for the company so it's for the bin.
Thanks again
Best regards
Scott
