this is what happen when I boot my Catalyst 3512 XL. Any idea of what's wrong with it? What's the login/password required to get console access?
thank you

Hi Friend,
You know what is going on, someone has set the login password on the console login that's why its asking for a password. Do u know the password ??
If not you have to do a password recovery procedure on the switch and take out all the password related settings.
Please see the link below:
Please revert in case of any clarifications.
HTH, Please rate if it does.

Thanks for the reply.
Well, I know the console login password and I know the startup-configuration of the switch.
What is worrying me is the output of the boot sequence. I see "MAINTENANCE INTERIM SOFTWARE" and particularly "FreeBSD 4.10 (STABLE) - Kernel 2.6.27 on an i686".
It doesn't look to be a "standard" boot sequence...
What do you think?
Thanks
Andrea
