Hello Everyone,
I
'm trying to create additional channel group in the 7206 router and here's the messages I got!
%Insufficient resources to create channel group
I would like to know if this is related to memory problem or is there any work around i need to do.
I also attached the sh ver output for reference.

Hello,
are you using a PA-MC-8E1 ? You might have reached the limit of 128 channel groups on this PA. AFAIK this is a hardware limit and not a memory problem. If you have a lot of subrate circuits, such as 64k circuits into a channelized E1, it's possible to hit that limit before the card is fully populated.
Here is what Cisco says about the PA-MC-8E1:
---
Rules for determining the allowable number of PRI groups per port adapter:
Each port can have a maximum of 1 PRI group
Each PRI group can have 1 - 31 timeslots configured
The allowable number of PRI groups per port adapter is governed by the maximum number of timeslots used per PRI group
Example 1: PA-MC-8E1 configured with:
1 PRI group of 10 timeslots
1 PRI group of 20 timeslots
1 PRI group of 15 timeslots
1 PRI group of 31 timeslots
1 PRI group of 31 timeslots
Total number of timeslots: 107
107 timeslots is fewer than the 128 timeslots maximum allowable per port adapter. In this case the 5 PRI groups/5 ports can be used for the PA-MC-8E1. (Another 21 timeslots could be configured, for maximum of 128.)
Example 2: PA-MC-8E1 configured with 5 PRI groups of 31 timeslots = 155 timeslots.
This example is not valid because 155 timeslots exceeds the 128 timeslots allowable.
---
Note The maximum number of channel groups per each 8-port multichannel E1 port adapter is 128.
