The particular error in question that was showing in the log of the 6509 for example:

May 4 16:58:25: %PM_SCP-SP-6-LCP_FW_ERR_INFORM: Module 6 is experiencing the following error: LTL Parity error detected on Coil #0.

May 4 16:58:25: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface FastEthernet6/5, changed state to down

May 4 16:58:25: %PM-SP-4-ERR_DISABLE: packet-buffer error detected on Fa6/5, putting Fa6/5 in err-disable state

Any one run across this and have any suggestions on this one? I understand that the port went into a errdisable, but as for the error in question why did this occur?

Here is the module info...

Hi,

The error msgs show that a parity error occurred on module 6. Parity errors are usually transient in nature, however there are hard failures also sometimes. If possible, re-seat the module to see if it fixes the issue, otherwise will need to replace the module.
