CISCO ISR 4331 performance with booster license and NAT pool enabled

HI,

I am in the process of purchasing a new ISR 4331 router But need to confirm what will the max performance with NAT pool enabled and booster license applied.

We are looking for a router that is capable for processing 1 GB traffic

if any knows and could share the accurate info it would be great

You can find this information in the datasheet:

"
The Boost License provides a license tier above the Performance License allowing customers to completely remove the ISR4000’s  performance limiters. This will make the ISR 4000 platforms perform at entirely new performance levels, allowing for 4+ Gbps of IP Routing (CEF)  performance on the 4400 series ISRs. For deployments using encryption, IPSec throughput with AES 256 increases to 250Mbps on the lowest platform up to 10Gbps on the ISR4461."

"Increases the performance from base performance 100 Mbps to 300 Mbps"

Hi Flavio,

Thanks for the reply , i have gone through these datasheet.

On ISR 4331 port speed is 2 G , but we would need to consider other factor such as NAT, DHCP , Ip encapsulation , these will consume some CPU processing and Memory which would impact the router.

I am looking to find out what would be the performance with NAT enabled

Ideally trying to verify id this ISR 4331 is capable of 1gb Data processing ?

Unfortunatelly or fortunatelly, Datasheet is the right place to go. But, not all information is there, for sure. Such specific information would be available if some company eventually perform some stress test and make it public, which not always is true.

Cisco usually inform about VPN tunnel but never see about NAT impact.  I have found this document that might be interesting for you.
