CiscoWorks and HP OpenView problem

I had install HP Openview Node manager with CiscoWorks to manage my network. However the speed of the auto discovery of switches, workstation and routers were very slow. I had decreased the polling time to 5 sec and it seems to have no effect.

Is there any way to increase the speed of the auto discovery process. I was told that by pinging the nodes will speed up the process. Is it true?

ping the hosts will increase to identify them.

You will need to implement a seedfile to speed up the process on the Openview. It generally helps to have all your main routers and switch ip addresses in the seedfile. That's one IP address per device. Please reference
