CMM-IP Address-Ping one way Only !

Hope,you could help me.

1)I have one 6509 with dual supe720 running 12.17d and have CMM 6port E1 on slot1 .

2)For CMM-I have allocated int g1/0 as 10.10.1.8/24

ios 12.13.****need to upgrade this to 12.18(due to security issues)

3) Have created 10.1.1.1 as vlan2.there are devices on this lan and they are active devices.on 6509.

4) From the CMM I can ping the Management ip address off 6509 ,and d/f .

5) PC- was conneted on a port and have allocated 10.1.1.111/24 .from the p.c You can ping the CMM address (same subnet)

6) Unable to upgrade the IOS (have the IOS upgrade for CMM from Cisco.

***7 ) Issue is that from CMM you can not ping the PC ,to make the TFTP server working.

From your query I think you have connected the PC to Vlan 2. PC should be connected to the management Vlan to have communication in this case.

I tried both ways and the problem was with My PC f/wall was stopping ,and able to upgrade the CMM ,the only way to do it is to define a IP address to G1/0 and the D/F gateway ,then was able to ping and upgrade the CMM .
