CW2K LMS - Import Device problem

Hello all,

I have just installed the latest version of CW2K LMS including RME 3.5 and CM 3.3 (with IDU's) on a Win2k SP3 platform.

I'm trying to import the previous versions .CSV inventory file and although the 'import status' page shows that I have 366 'Managed Devices', when I 'List Devices', there aren't devices in the list!

Has anyone else seen this problem?

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Colin

It sounds like you have a device stuck in your

.csv import. If you go to Cw2000 --) RME --)

Admin --) Inventory --) import status. Does a

device show in a pending state? If so make

sure to document it and the delete the device.

Unfortunately (?) they're are listed as 'Managed'.

I've been experimenting this afternoon on an emulated system though which hasn't shown the same problem so I'm guessing that the application install was flawed.

I'm going to try a rebuild (joy!) and then try the same tests that I've done this afternoon.

Hi, Colin

I would a least reboot the server to test

before a rebuild. If that does not correct

the problem then " your right " the DB

is bad and you need to do a rebuild.

I have been struggling with the same problem. Reboots and rebuilds have not helped yet on my machine. If you find a solution, please post it.

Having already tried rebooting, I decided to stop all the services manually and then reboot before embarking on a rebuild.

Success! I can now manage all of my imported devices. I hope that the same action resolves your problem too Dave.
