Dial-in Network Access over POTS

I am looking for the simplest Cisco hardware solution for allowing a remote user to access a LAN over analog POTS line. I have found that this is possible with a Cisco 1721 access router and an analog modem interface card (WIC-1AM), but I find this solution too expensive. Is there a lower end access router that allows POTS dial-in access? Cisco 800 and SOHO series seem to only allow ISDN and ADSL access.

You could use a c1721 with a normal modem connected to the AUX port (this could even be an ISDN TA able to answer V90 incoming calls to allo 56Kbps speed) or a cisco 805 (which has a sync/async serial interface) using a db60/V25 cable to the same modem.
