thank you.  what's about the interface?

hello,

didnt get you question,

if switch doesnt support POE then interface cant either. you need to use external power supply.

thanks

if I plug a Cicso phone directly into the interface, does it get power? thx.

no it wont if switch does not support poe.

but you can use external power and it will work fine.

thanks

? what about connects the Cisco phone to the wall jack? it shouldn't make difference, should it? but we do have 2940 in our prduction environment , and we use Cisco phone.

it shoudnt make any diffrence coz power will come from cisco switch.

are you using external power supply ??

try this on switch and it will tell you about POE on the switch

Network-Test#sh power inline
Available:370.0(w)  Used:18.9(w)  Remaining:351.1(w)
