I have 2 AGS+ routers with a dce cable on one and a dte cable on the other to connect serially back to back. The interfaces do not stay up for more than about a minute. Can't figure out why not.

Hi,

be sure that you have defined the clock rate on the device where your dce cable is connected to.

If i remember in the right where, there are some jumpers on the blades to config the interface from dte to dce. Of cource, you have to configure also the clockrate.

Clocking has been configured. I do remember seeing some documentation on jumpers though. I will check that again. Thanks.

Make your Serial 0 the DCE side of the cable,

The clock rate will be 64000.

Just had the same issue, when setting up the home lab!
