Currently a PTP configuration has been setup using Linux4ptp. While eavuluating Ie 4000 switch , enabling it with a dot1as profile , we get a good sync value but a very high RMS on the slave side . The very same setup when tested against another switch with same 802.1a capabilities has a very low rms variation on the slave side. We are unable to understand the reason behind it ?
