HP 40GE/10GE splitter & Cisco Compatibility

Hi All,

I have a scenario where HP 5900AF-48XGT-4QSFP+ TOR Switch needs to connect to Cisco 6509E aggregation switch over 10G uplinks, could I use 5m 40GE/10GE HP splitter (JG331A) to achieve the scenario ?

Does Cisco support HP splitter ?

If not, how to manage the connection between both switches ?

My experience is that you need OEM products that are Cisco compatible... this since Cisco has a check build in the eeprom from the transceiver..

Mostlly HP or Extreme transceivers do not work in Cisco blades.
