HWIC-1T with channelized cct

Hi,

im looking for this answer for some time but till now no joy.

In the CE we have a HWIC-1T. In the PE we have an E1 configured with 16 timeslots as the cct hired from PTT is of 1024K.

Does anyoone knows if the HWICT-1T can support it ?

Becuase till now I couldn't make it work.

Im thinking that I would have to have an E1 in CE side also, to match the timeslots, or an external CSU to deal with this.

With full E1 it works but probably because it uses all channels.

Thanks,

Pedro.

HWIC-1T is a serial itnerface and has no concept of timeslots.

Whatever serial adapter, or modem device is connected in between HWIC-1T and the E1 device, must be configured with the right number of timeslots.

Great, i got it. Thanks Paolo.

So, always we have a channelized, or we have an E1/T1 interface where we configure the timeslots, or we need a CSU/DSU to handle that.

Correct.

Thank you for the nice rating and good luck!
