I have a problem about SG 300-28 switch.

Hello.

I am a Korean engineer.

Today, all day, I worked "SG 300-28" switch.

But, I didn't connect it to the PC using console cable(it is NULL MODEM CABLE)

I did 2 method.

First,

When I connected it, in the monitor, did not  any other respond. ( I used PuTTY )

So, I searched database, I performed followed steps.

(such as setting console speed 115200, stop bit and so on...)

Finally I failed it connecting to the PC.

Second,

Therefore, at this time, I used telnet.

( its default IP = 192.168.1.254 )

However, in the cmd, I input "ping 192.168.1.254" <- respond.

                                                   "telnet 192.168.1.254" <- NOT respond.

Hmmm....

And now ... finally I register my word in this site...

Please help me how to connect switch.

Thank you for reading my word.

Regards,

You have the right cable it

You have the right cable it does not support standard blue console , have you tried baud rate 9600-8-n-1-None-None it should have took 115200 as well that's its default  , telnet may be disabled try ssh that may be configured depending on the setup, also keep pressing enter when connected it can wake up the serial connection , also try hyperterminal

Try web to that address .254 see if you can setup telnet/ssh if not enabled
