IRB with 6500 (or equivalent)

I know... all the documentation states that the 6500 doesn't do IRB. So, how do I perform the following:

I need to move a small portion of clients off of one vlan and onto another. The original IP address range was x.x.32.0/21. I need to move all of the wireless clients in the range of x.x.32.x to another vlan in a slow migration. I changed the DHCP address for the non-wireless clients to x.x.36.0/22 in preparation for the change. The end result is that Vlan 1 will have x.x.32.0/24 and Vlan 2 will have x.x.36.0/22. Since it is a slow migration, I need to be able to have the default gateway of x.x.32.1 on both vlans, or in a BVI (which isn't supported on the 6509).

Is there another way to do this? If I could just cause a short term network outage, it wouldn't be an issue and I could just move every client at once. Unfortunately I have to prevent/reduce the downtime.

As you mentioned, since the 6500 doesn't do IRB, I am afraid you cannot perform this.
