Is there a tool or app to associate an IP to a port?

Have a need to trace a given Computer name or IP to a specific Switch and Port. Is there an app or tool that can do this? Want to be able to associate an IP or Name to a physical port/location.

SolarWinds Engineers edition has a Switch Port Mapper that does a good job of this.

You can do it the hard way by issueing a show arp command in your router and capturing the mac address of the ip address you are interested in. Telnet to the switch and issue a show mac-address-table command. The output of that command shows the mac-addresses of the devices on that switch as well as the port each mac address is coming in on.
