I want to perform tests about ISDN connections and have 2500 series routers with ISDN BRI (S/T) interfaces. Is it possible to connect these BRI interfaces back-to-back or how a testing senario may work?

no this will require a terminal adapter .

Sorry for my very limited knowledge about ISDN. As I know terminal adapters are used to connect non-ISDN devices to ISDN network. But my routers provide ISDN (S/T) interfaces?

Hello,
indeed ISDN won't work without an adapter or a simulator. You can, though, do some config like DDR and backup by configuring your Cisco 2500s through the AUX ports. Since ISDN simulators are not exactly cheap, this configuration allows you to at least test some of the stuff that BRIs are usually used for. Check out this link for more info:
