L3 access-list issue

I am using L3 3550 / IOS 12.1(22)EA4

I have configured 2 VLANs on it, Vlan1 as 10.4.10.65/26 and Vlan2 as 10.232.41.1/24

i have applied

access-list as access-list 100 permit icmp any any .

I applied it on both the Vlans as

ip access-group 100 in

ip access-group 100 out

I am not able to ping from Vlan1 to Vlan2

Can anyone please help me to figure out what the exact problem is.

Hello,

stupid question maybe, but do you have ´ip routing´ enabled globally ?

The access list should work as desired, can you post the entire configuration of your switch ? Maybe something else is not configured correctly...

Regards,

GP

When the original post says that they can not ping from vlan 1 to vlan 2 I assume that they have end stations(s) in vlan 1 attempting to ping to end stations in vlan 2. In which case I think we also should ask about the configuration of the end stations: especially what address are they configured with, what netmask are they configured with, and what default gateway are they configured with.
