Can anyone tell me why I keep getting link flaps on my uplink port from another switch ?

Is it just from that one other switch, or will any switch in that mode on that port do it? Have you tried it from another port on the main switch? Is it a quick flapping, or does it take several minutes/hours/days? What model of switch is it?

Yes its from that switch, its a 2950, I have not tried any other ports, it comes on after say 10 seconds !!

Try to uplink from another port on the 2950. If it still does it, try another switch on your primary port. The goal is to work the problem down until you've eliminated every possible cause. It could be the port, but you have to determine if it's the port on the main switch, or on the 2950 first.

Then once you've got it down to the correct switch, you can test to see if it's a duplex or speed issue, and further testing after that if needed.
