Hi, I like to attach a Server with two Gigabitports on two connected Cat6500.Is it possible to run load balancing between these two links?I already configured the gigaports on the switches as "channel-group 2 mode active" running lacp protocol. The NIC's support 802.3ad.
At Intel I found this:Intel Link Aggregation, Cisco*'s Fast EtherChannel* Technology or static 802.3ad ("FEC" or "FEC/LA/802.3ad: static"). A team of 2-8 10/100 adapters which simultaneously receive and transmit data. Includes fault tolerance and load balancing. Requires a switch that supports Intel Link Aggregation, Cisco*'s FEC or static 802.3ad. Must match speed/duplex settings on all team members. Spanning Tree Protocol must be turned off. Must match switch aggregation requirements.
But I'm not sure if it really does load balancing.

Hi,
I think you could use 'sh ether-channel port-channel 2 detail' for more information.

Hi,
I need to know if it is possible to connect a server once to switch A and once to switch B and do a load blancing over these links.

Peter
