Level 1

Using OpenView Network Node Manager to query MIBS from different types of Switches, C2950, C3550, C6506, C6509

Where Serial Numbers are stored in which MIB that I can find them???

Can find only one of them, by default Cisco sets S/N into a MIB container, so for those types above where They store the serial Number???

Thanks!!!

Hi Milan,

Thanks for the PDF related Document, interesting Docs...

I am trying to interogate the MIB Cisco.wkgrpProducts....

And I trealized that I don't have the specifics under this structure LOADEd So I am trying to load the proper specific MIBS structure for this WorGroup and it tells me that I require the "ciscoMgmt" be Loaded before but I cannot find this ciscoMgmt structure ...

Have you got an idea where this specific and related structure is defined "ciscoMgmt" in wish file specifically ???

Still trying file per file...

Guy

Hi Guy

You can search for this object using the SNMP object navigator tool:

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Mibbrowser/unity.pl

The tool identifies that this object is contained within the CISCO-SMI MIB

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Mibbrowser/unity.pl?f=Translate&t=no&o=1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9

You can also view the object tree using the above tool

In addition to CISCO-SMI.my, you should also load CISCO-TC.my if this is not already installed ...

Here is a useful link for compliling MIBs on your NMS:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/477/SNMP/mibcompilers.html

Cheers

Marcus

Hi Marc,

Seems interesting but my Entitlement Levels does not seem to permit me to reach the site and / or directory for this tools.

Seems right thought this SMI solved the issue, to bad that I can't get this tolls...

Thanks !
